This Christmas, Clearview Estate would like to reward loyal Mudgee shoppers and also support the local charities that do such a great job for those less fortunate. Purchase either a Sparkling 6 pack or December Dozen and save an additional 20% and Clearview Estate will donte 5% to a local Mudgee charity. You can visit the cellar door on Rocky Waterhole Road or the Farmers Markets in the Catholic Church grounds Saturday December 18.

Spring has sprung at Clearview

The winter chill is behind us and now every thing is coming to life. The vines are growing, the bees are working their majic in the cherries and the recently planted pomegranate trees are jumping out of the ground. We have had excellent rainfall over the winter months and this had made for a great start to the season. We look forward to picking our first cherry crop just in time for Christmas.

Clearview Estate Trophy Winning Wine

The results of the 2010 Mudgee Wine Show have been released and we are extremely proud to have taken out the trophy for the most outstanding Semillon of the show with our 2010 Church Creek Semillon. Our Semillon was awarded a gold medal with 55.5 points in it’s current vintage Semillon class then awarded most outstanding Semillon of the show. Our 2009 Rocky Waterhole Shiraz also performed well being awarded a Silver medal.

Our Clearview Estate 2009 Church Creek Chardonnay has again been awarded a silver medal. This time at the 2010 Boutique Wine Awards. This wine is developing well in the bottle, benefiting from a short fermentation in Frenck Oak, those stone fruit characteristics are really starting to shine. This lighter, more classical Chablis style Chardonnay is marking the comeback of this extremely versatile grape.

Rocky Waterhole Reds

Sparkling Shiraz – A crisp fresh wine with an earthy Shiraz finish. Refreshing and cleansing on the palate.

2009 Pink Cabernet – Flavours of strawberry and raspberry with a hint of passionfruit. Fresh and vibrant with a hint of sweetness.

2009 Shiraz – Deep ruby red colour, blackberry and chocolate flavours. Blend of French and American Oak adds complexity and length.

Liqueur Shiraz – A perfect finish to the evening served with rich chocolate or savoury cheese. YUM!

Church Creek Whites

Sparkling Chardonnay – Fresh and lively showing lifted citrus on the nose. The palate is crisp and light with a fine bead that melts in your mouth.

Sweet Amy Louise – A fruity style of wine with peach and citrus characters, finishing with sweetness. This wine is named after our daughter. Mostly sweet, a little naughty but very nice. This is our Amy Louise.

2009 Semillon – Young and fresh with bountiful aromas of grapefruit and lime and crunchy acidity to finish.

2009 Chardonnay – A soft full palate showing citrus and stone fruit flavours. Barrel fermented in French Oak for 4 months adds class and complexity.

Liqueur Chardonnay – Generous pear flavour with a slight sweetness, a perfect finish to any evening.
